Thank you to everyone who has been in touch to offer their support during the Coronavirus pandemic. Whilst lockdown measures are in place we are having to limit the number of people coming on site. However, please email if you would like to register your interest in becoming a volunteer.

Volunteers are essential to the running of the Nightshelter. Without our friendly and dedicated team of volunteers, we would not be able to open our doors each night – it really is that simple!

We have a wonderful and generous group of people willing to donate their time, resources and skills, but we are always in need of more help. Discover more about the volunteering roles available.

Just to keep the Nightshelter’s doors open, each year we need:

Around 11,000 donated hours worked by our volunteers

A minimum of eight
day-time volunteers each week to assist with key office tasks and the day-to-day running of the Nightshelter

At least three volunteers per evening, equating to over 1,000 shifts a year

Every year, our volunteers save us around £108,000!

We have a huge variety of voluntary roles, so whatever your skills or experience and however much, or little, free time you have to give, we’ll have a role for you.
