This Volunteers’ Week, 1st-7th June, staff, directors and residents at the Nightshelter would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to all our volunteers.

Each year, more than 11,000 hours are given by volunteers and our essential work supporting people who are experiencing homelessness is only made possible thanks to the contribution of each and every one of them.

Over recent weeks, the dedication and kindness of our volunteers has meant that we have been able to remain open and even expand our service so that our residents can stay ‘home’. We realise that our volunteers have chosen to leave the safety of their own homes in order to support the Nightshelter and our residents.

Each year, we provide essential accommodation and support to approximately 100 people experiencing homelessness. Thank you to every volunteer who is part of the jigsaw that makes this possible. Together, we are changing lives.

Please watch our short video featuring Michele Price, Chief Executive of the Nightshelter, who would like to thank our volunteers.
