When one of our residents had his tools stolen at work, we appealed for help to get him back on track.

Ryan has been staying with us for several months and has been working hard as a painter and decorator to save money for a deposit so that he can move to a property of his own. Sadly, he was recently the victim of a theft when his work tools were stolen overnight from the property he was working on.

Ryan used the money he had saved for a deposit to replace the tools but felt very disheartened by the setback. We wanted to try and help him to get back on track and so we appealed for help from our supporters.

People generously donated and together gave almost £500 towards the cost of the replacement tools. Ryan commented on the appeal: “I am really touched by everyone’s kindness. It has given me hope. It is hard to absorb the fact that so many people have helped me. Thank you.”
