Nightshelter launches Christmas 'Birdhouse' project

Are you wonderful with wood? Can you nail it with nails? Do you sew like a seamstress? Then you might be able to help the Nightshelter with our special Christmas project...

This year, we're asking our supporters to

BUILD OR CUSTOMISE A BIRDHOUSE (...or make a few fabric birds to go in it!)

We're collecting birdhouses of all shapes and sizes that we can sell on the Nightshelter's Christmas market stall, which will take place on Saturday 25th November at the main Winchester Cathedral Christmas market. We'd also love people to have a go at making some small fabric birds that we can sell as accompanying decorations - birdhouses need birds, after all!

Proceeds from the sales of the birdhouses and birds will go towards our vital work helping those experiencing homelessness in Hampshire.

There will be a small prize for the best birdhouse!

Also available to buy from our Christmas market stall will be flat-pack birdhouses, packs of bird seed, plus Christmas decorations and bespoke Nightshelter Christmas cards, designed for us by local artist Paul Treasure.
