AGM and Supporters Evening this Wednesday!

Our Annual Supporters Eveningtakes place on Wednesday 12th October. Do come and join us at St Peter's Pastoral Centre, Jewry Street Winchester.  Doors open at 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start.

We'll be celebrating the work of our amazing band of volunteers - and showcasing a new film about their role. We'll also be hearing from a former resident who speaks movingly about the impact of the Nightshelter on his life as well as hearing from the police about their interaction with some of our client group.  We'll finish with a chance to talk informally with refreshments prepared by our residents. 

The detailed programme is:

 6.45 - 7.00 p.m.        AGM

7.00 – 8.15 p.m.       “What  We Do Together Really Counts.” 

  • Introduction and update - Michele Price, Nightshelter Manager
  • Police and Joint Working - Inspector Jon Turton
  • Volunteers - What you do really counts - Film – launch of our latest Nightshelter film focusing on the contribution of our volunteer workforce
  • Overnight at the Nightshelter” - Nigel Bartlett (volunteer Director)
  • Different ways in which companies provide support - John Druce (from Arqiva)
  • “Getting back up” - Jon Walker (ex resident)

Refreshments and opportunity to meet talk informally until 8.45pm
