Important information for all referral agencies

  • Please note that before a referral can be accepted, we will need to a National Insurance number along with details of any benefits received.
  • Each resident at The Winchester Beacon pays £3 per night to stay or £10 per night if they are working. Making this contribution helps our residents with their budgeting skills.
  • We try to keep The Winchester Beacon safe for all our vulnerable residents, so we do not allow alcohol or illegal drugs to come on site.  We offer specialist on-site support, as well as links to off-site support agencies for those coping with drug or alcohol addictions. We have a duty of care to ensure the safety of all our residents, volunteers and staff, and for those reasons we do undertake drug and alcohol testing as we see appropriate with each resident being for their alcohol levels on a nightly basis. All prospective residents need to be aware of this before committing to stay.
